Boost Your Efficiency | Best Productivity Apps of 2021

Jul 28, 2021

It’s no secret that our lives can be absolutely crazy at times.

We are responsible for so many things in so many areas of life… and at the same time, the time frame we are given to get everything accomplished is ridiculously small.

And on top of all that, keeping life organized can be a whole other struggle. A major struggle.

Like the majority of people in this generation, I’ve turned to the App Store in search of the perfect application that will magically put together and manage my life flawlessly.

Although I have yet to find that exact app, I do have a list of 10 favorites that have been a tremendous help in my quest to be my most productive.

ASANA

Asana is an easy-to-use task management tool that helps users simply organize and maintain their workload. I recommend it to anyone who is looking to up their “project management” game a bit and wanting to be more proactive in tracking goals.

CLICKUP

Clickup is relatively new to me, but the features that this program offers are overwhelming, in a good way. Clickup is the ultimate tool for tracking, planning, organizing and managing literally everything virtually. I recommend it to anyone who isn’t afraid of a challenge and wants to systemize their projects and tasks.

DRIVE

Google Drive has been my go-to for awhile. I use Google docs and sheets for pretty much all my writing and number crunching. What I love most about it is that I am able to easily view and edit my work on any device I can log into. I recommend Google Drive to anyone who is looking to migrate their work off of their hard drive and wants access to it anywhere.

AUDIBLE

Audible is an app that lets you download audiobooks and podcasts from an endless online collection. It’s a subscription so depending on the program you enroll in, you will be awarded a certain amount of credits to exchange for titles. I love Audible and I use it daily. I recommend it for anyone that loves to read, but just can’t find enough time to sit down and physically read a book.

FOCUS KEEPER

This app helps you apply the Pompero method to your work. It’s a very simple timer app that lets you know when to take breaks and when to focus and crank out some work. I recommend this app to anyone who has a lot to get done, but just can’t find the motivation to focus.

CALENDAR

By Calendar, I recommend Google Calendar or Apple Calendar. Although paper calendars are wonderful, I think it is much more practical to have a virtual calendar on your phone that can be easily accessible at any time. What I love about Google Calendar and Apple Calendar is that you can easily sync them between devices and with your other productivity programs. I recommend these apps to anyone who ever makes plans.

GOODNOTES

This app is for all the iPad users out there. Good Notes is a virtual notebook that, when paired with an Apple Pencil can easily take the place of any physical notebook. I love that I can take endless notes and not have to deal with the clutter of my notebooks everywhere. I also love that my notes sync easily to my other Apple devices.

FABULOUS

Fabulous is an amazing app that helps you create self care and productivity routines and stick to them. I use this app every day for my evening routine and it truly helps me wind down before bed. I recommend this app to anyone who is looking to prioritize self care and their routines, but isn’t sure where to start.

COOKBOOK

I have a lot of cookbooks, and the recipes in them are great. However, when I’m planning my meals for the week, the last thing I have time to do is page through my cookbooks and pick out meals and then develop grocery lists from the needed ingredients. This app allows you to import recipes from cookbooks, magazines and websites into your own virtual recipe library. From there you are able to plan your meals and create grocery lists right from the app! I recommend this app to anyone who wants to be better about meal planning.

STYLEBOOK

If you’re familiar with my fashion content at all, you know I preach about this app constantly. Stylebook is a virtual closet app that lets you import images of your clothing, create looks, make packing lists or plan your outfits for the week. I can’t tell you how many hours this app has saved me when it comes to getting ready in the morning and packing for vacations. I recommend this app to anyone who is looking to organize their wardrobe.
