Fixing Closet Fatigue | 6 Ways to Stop Closet Boredom
Jan 25, 2021Have you ever looked at your closet full of clothes and thought to yourself, “I have NOTHING to wear"?”
Ironic, isn’t it?
If this has happened to you then chances are likely that you may be suffering from closet fatigue, or to put it simply, being bored with your clothes.
You may think that the only way to cure yourself of this ailment is to head to the store (or your computer) and make some garment purchases.
WRONG.
Here are 6 of my best tips to help you cure yourself from closet fatigue without spending a dime!
1) REARRANGE YOUR CLOTHES
As crazy as it sounds, a simple closet re-organization project might just be what the doctor ordered!
After rearranging the setup of your wardrobe, you’ll be surprised at what jumps out at you!
2) CREATE NEW OUTFITS
Go through your items and get creative in creating new looks and combinations that you haven’t tried before. Use Pinterest for inspiration!
This is when I recommend my favorite fashion app out there. Stylebook. This app allows you to create and save outfits (on top of many other amazing things).
If you aren’t interested in the app, I suggest snapping a photo of your new outfit ideas that you can refer to later.
3) ELIMINATE THE CLUTTER
It may be that you have pieces you forgot about because they are buried in the excess of your clothing!
It might just be time for a major purge - check out this post for a step-by-step guide into how this is done!
4) STORE OFF SEASON CLOTHING
Not only will storing your off season items create more excitement and appreciation for your clothes when the seasons change, but your closet will appear much less cluttered and more aesthetically pleasing which will help greatly with outfit inspiration!
5) REDESIGN OLD PIECES
If you are up for a DIY challenge, a great way to revamp your clothing is to redesign what you already own!
There are countless ideas on Pinterest just waiting for you to discover them.
6) BUY NEW CLOTHES
If all else fails, it may be time to buy new clothes.
But… only with cash that you earn from selling your unwanted clothing!
