How to Create Your Dream Wardrobe

Dec 15, 2021

Why is it so hard for us to create our dream wardrobe?

I mean... we know what we like when it comes to clothes and that's often what we buy so why is it that we still feel unhappy and uninspired each time we peer into our closet?

As someone who has been both extremely baffled and frustrated by this situation, I understand the irony of having a closet full of clothes, and yet nothing to wear.

I've done a lot of reflecting on this and have come up with seven roadblocks that often stand in the way, revolkling access to our dream closet.

Listed briefly, these problems are:

  1. You are purchasing your "Meh's"
  2. You're only purchasing trends
  3. You're ignorning your lifestyle
  4. You're ignorning your current clothing inventory
  5. You're avoiding purchasing basics
  6. You're avoiding shopping altogether
  7. You're ignoring fit

To dive deeper into these roadblocks and to determine which one you suffer from, I encourage you to download my free guide:"7 Reasons You Have Nothing to Wear, Even When You Do" guide.

Now - before you can go about addressing these issues in order to create your dream wardrobe you first need to know what exactly you want when it comes to your closet.

To do this, I recommend grabbing a piece of paper and jotting down what you want your wardrobe to contain or accomplish. Some examples include:

  • Comfortable
  • Chic and Sophisticated
  • Pieces that can transition easily from day to night
  • Minimal

Then - after you have this list complete the next step is making sure you completely understand your personal style. Without knowing this about yourself, it's impossible to create your dream wardrobe because you won't know what you desire!

Now, I know determining and embracing your personal style is 1,000 times more easily said than done - it's complicated! That's why I created Style Yourself Stunning - an online course that guides you through the process of determining, embracing and rocking your unique and amazing personal style. If you find yourself struggling with truly knowing your "fashion-self", I encourage you to check out this course!

Cheers to creating your dream wardrobe!
